To check whether your Mac uses Apple Silicon or an Intel processor, click the Apple menu  in the top-left corner of your screen and select “About This Mac.” In the window that appears, look under the “Chip” section. If the chip name starts with “M” (such as M1, M2, or M3), your Mac has Apple Silicon. If it mentions “Intel,” then your Mac is Intel-based.If it mentions “Intel”, you have an Intel-based Mac.
